RFP: Homeownership Program Development

Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, a federally recognized Indian Tribe, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to develop a Homeownership Program that will serve members of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Michigan.  Homeownership development and assistance is a new initiative for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.

RFP: Comprehensive Housing Needs Assessment

Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, a federally recognized Indian Tribe, is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to design and conduct a Comprehensive Housing Needs Assessment in its efforts to determine the current and future housing needs and priorities within the service area of Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.

Proposals are due on or before 4:00 P.M. EASTERN Time, August 21, 2026.

Election Board Regulations 30 Day Comment Period

Below is the draft revised Election Board Regulations for a 30-day comment period starting July 7, 2026, ending August 6, 2026. Proposed regulations shall be posted at the Little River Band Community Center, Little River Tribal Office, Little River Band Health Center and presented to the Tribal Council for (thirty) 30 days prior to final consideration and approval by the Election Board. The comment period will provide Tribal Members with an opportunity to review the proposed revisions and submit comments before final consideration and adoption.

Recent heavy rainfall has caused flooding, erosion, and unstable road conditions across the area. Old House Rd is CLOSED and not accessible at this time. Barricades and road closure signage are in place. Please avoid the area entirely.

For those accessing other Tribal properties, please use extreme caution. Conditions remain unpredictable and may change quickly.

In light of recent events regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Indian Tribes, I would like to offer some very basic information. 

Within the last week or two, the matter has been brought to LRBOI's attention by concerned members and by elected officials monitoring the situation. I would like to quell the rumors and just give some very basic information.
